OSSA Training Schedule

 

How Do I Register for a Training Course?

Check out the schedule for the course you are interested in on the above schedules.  Once you have your course determined, you can simply call Customer Care at 1-877-494-WSPS (9777).  Alternatively, you can download, fill out and faxback our Self Registration Training Form.  Just fill in your selected course information, attendees and payment options and fax it directly to OSSA at 905-6141434.

OSSA Certification Training

Health & Safety Certification training is required training for at least 2 members of a company's Joint Health & Safety Committee.  More information on Certification training requirements can be found here.  OSSA's Certification courses are fully approved by the WSIB.

Certification Part I (3-day course)

Cost:

$275 per person and materials ($119.00), plus applicable taxes

Certification Part II (1 day Course)

Cost:

$299 per person incl. materials, plus applicable taxes

Regional Part II sessions above are generic sessions, offering training on 4 common hazard modules (Ergonomic Hazards, Slips/Trips/Falls, Chemical Hazards, Equipment Hazards).

Certification Training in Northern Ontario

Please note that OSSA does provide selected training courses for Certification Part 1 and 2 in a variety of Northern locations (see above schedule), additional courses and course locations may be available through Workplace Safety North.

OSSA Risk Assessment, Hazard & Compliance Workshop Program

This new cross-province engagement program is intended for firms facing challenges in running and implementing their own health & safety programs.  The program helps you understand what the health & safety system in Ontario requires, where your risks, gaps and problems might occur, and how to build and develop a sustainable and effective health & safety program within your business.

The program has two parts - an introductory Risk Assessment session, followed by two Group Consulting sessions that look at compliance-related factors and hazard assessment for your business.  These sessions are designed to help your company position itself for long-term health & safety success, to improve your health & safety results, reducing your premiums and saving you money.

OSSA Health & Safety Awareness Courses

OSSA offers instructor-led workshops on the following topics;

• Health & Safety Representative
• Musculoskeletal Disorder (MSD) Prevention Awareness Training
• Safe Lifting, Supervisors & Employees

These workshops are designed to provide employers, supervisors, HR professionals, health & safety representatives and JHSC members with the information and skills needed to uphold your legal obligations under the Act and create an effective health & safety program in the workplace. These modules are designed to support our Workwell Program or they can be delivered as awareness seminars to larger audiences.

Each workshop is approximately 2 hours in length and provides an engaging combination of activities, such as lecture, large group discussion, case study analysis and action planning in both a small group format and through individual exercises.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy:

Any cancellations received less than 10 business days prior to the course date and no-shows will result in 100% of the total training fee to be charged.  Training per client may be rescheduled within 10 business days prior to the course date free of charge.  Rescheduling fees for less than 10 business days will incur a fee of $100 plus applicable taxes per rescheduling.
