Certification Part II Training Products

• Unlike Basic Certification, individual participants do not need to register
• In an effort to keep costs down for you, we are providing the hazard training modules with electronic files on disk so they can be easily and inexpensively reproduced. This way you don't have to buy a copy for each participant.
• Workplaces should use this training for staff other than just certified members.

There are 2 components to OSSA's Certification Part Two Training Product:

1. Employer Kit Provides the employer with all the information they need to get started, including:

• Instruction Guide
• Workplace Hazard Forms
• The Refresher Module.
• The Hazard Control System.
• A CD of all the contents above
• A copy of the WSIB form

2. Hazard Training Modules Designed for self-use, not to be delivered as classroom-based learning, these modules are problem-solving and assessment tools for each hazard.

The Participant is introduced to the tools and specific hazard considerations with their choice of workplace specific examples and a Quick Reference Guide. They then apply the tools in their workplace to applicable potential hazards, and develop an action plan with the findings.

Common Hazard Modules

These modules were found to cover the most common hazards in all of our sub-sectors. Each module contains a pre and post test; an Employee Risk Assessment Questionnaire, a Workplace Hazard Inspection form, a Hazard Quick Reference, a training program and five sub-sector-specific case studies and exercises.

Sub-Sector Hazard Modules

The following modules have been developed to meet the needs of specific sub-sectors. Each module contains a pre-test, a Workplace Hazard Inspection form, a Hazard Quick Reference and a set of worksheets. Participants are to complete The Refresher, The Hazard Control System and one Common Hazard Module before completing a Sub-sector Hazard Module.
